Family Health Foundation Inc. was established in September of 1988 by a small group of friends who felt called to demonstrate Christ's love in a practical way to the underprivileged of Ecuador. With limited resources and experience we began by providing general medicine in the offices of our local church. Later we expanded our servicies with Medical Outreaches to outlying communities.

 

In October of 1996 we received the donation of a house in Cuenca’s historic district and from there launched our Medical Surgical Center. The Center has steadily grown and today serves over 30,000 patients each year, with 2 operating rooms, physical therapy, odontology, pharmacy, opthomalic services and more. By the grace of God and through the generousity of donors in Ecuador, the U.S. and Germany we are now poviding integral family services and health care throughout Ecuador. Our health care and family services have been fully authorized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Public Health.

 

We are called to preach and practice the gospel; making disciples, promoting justice and mercy and expressing Christ’s love in practical ways. We continue to expand our services to those in need and today we provide a wide range of holistic services to the communities we serve.
